RSS Graffiti is no longer posting to the new Facebook Group Pages

Page history last edited by Chris Kale 12 years, 8 months ago

This could be one of two things.

1. Make sure you have a valid RSS Feed URL. You can check that by going here and entering your feed URL (http://validator.w3.org/feed ). If it is an invalid feed you will need to correct the areas which they point out. If that is set up correctly go to the next step

RSS Graffiti allows you to connect a feed to your Facebook Group Pages. However due to a recent Facebook update you are no longer allowed to post on behalf of the group itself, you must post on behalf of a user. Follow the steps below to change who you are posting on behalf of.

1. Go to http://apps.facebook.com/rssgraffiti in Facebook

2. Look to the left side bar and make sure you are on your groups RSS Graffiti app.

3. Go to the feed you wish to edit on your Group Page and click Edit

4. Then click the More tab

5. Change the "Publish on Behalf of" to yourself or any user listed just make sure its not as the Group itself.

6. Click Save

You should be good to go!
